Cigar: SEAL of the PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES

A Presidential Cigar!

I helped my new neighbor out not too long ago. By this time he had already noticed that I smoked cigars from time to time on my back deck. In recompense for my help, he gave me an odd gift. He handed me a slightly crushed can and said, "Primo Cigars!"

That happened over a month ago and to tell you the truth, I was a little reluctant to try one.

After returning home that day, I opened the can and pulled out a bundle of six long cigars, all labeled with the seal of the President of the United States. Well, I thought to myself, These are definitely rare. Not something I can buy in a store or online.

I put the cigars in my humidor and let them rest. They felt a little dry to the touch and to be frank, I wasn't sure I believed my neighbor when he said Primo Cigars! - He's an interesting sort. ;)

Well, today was the day. I pulled one out of the humidor, all dryness gone, and had a smoke.

And you know what?

Not bad! He was right, this is a Primo Cigar!

Research

I tried to do research and found little online. Who made this? Where was it made? What kind of tobacco? What is the wrapper made of?

In the end, I found a little mention, that they may have been made in the Philippines?  The Philippines?!?

That's when I gave up researching.

The Smoke

The smoke was pleasant. The taste smooth and balanced. And, it smoked straight. No Crookedly Lit Cigar here!

One thing I will say about this cigar, it held the ash on longer than I'm used to. I don't generally tap my cigar to remove the ash. I let it surprise me.

The ash got so long today that I rolled the cigar gently over the ashtray to encourage it. I didn't want to be surprised by ash down my shirt and on my lap.

That's it

And that's it. I just wanted to get a quick post in today while the experience was still fresh on my mind. No pithy remarks about life or philosophy today.
